Support
Stuck? Ask a person.
Mail to support@omriya.app goes to the person who makes Omriya, not to a queue. The questions that come up most are answered further down.
Write to us
support@omriya.appOr from the app: Profile → Send feedback.
It helps to say
- What you tapped, and what happened instead
- iPhone or Android, or which browser
- The version at the foot of Profile. Tap it and it's copied
English or Ukrainian, whichever is easier.
Signing in
The sign-in email never came.
Look in spam and in promotions, and check the address on the screen for a typo; Use a different address puts that right. Then ask for a new link. Each link works once and not for long, so an old one says it's expired. Or skip the email: Continue with Apple and Continue with Google need no link.
I signed in and my wishes are gone.
Most likely you're in a second account, made by signing in a different way from last time. Profile → Account shows the address and the way you signed in. Sign out, and sign in the way you did before.
Lists and links
The link reached somebody it shouldn't have.
Open the list and tap Replace the link. Everybody holding the old one loses the list, the people you meant to have it too, so send them the new one. A link can also be set to stop working on a date.
Somebody can't open my list.
A list opens in any browser, with nothing to install. If the page says there's nothing there, the link was replaced or has passed the date it stops working. Send them the current one from the list.
Reservations
I reserved the wrong wish.
Open the wish, from the link or from Shared with me in the app, and tap Cancel the reservation. It goes back on the list for somebody else to take.
Why am I getting email about a wish I reserved?
Because it changed: it was edited, marked received, taken off the list or deleted. We write so you don't buy the wrong thing. Cancelling the reservation stops the mail.
Can you tell me who reserved my wish?
No. The app doesn't show it, the export leaves it out, and we won't say either. That's the whole point.
Plus and payments
I paid, but Plus isn't on.
On the Plus screen, tap Already paid? Restore your purchase, on the Apple ID or Google account you paid with. If it still says there's nothing to restore, write to us with the date on the store receipt.
How do I cancel Plus?
Where you bought it. On an iPhone, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android, in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Plus stays on until the end of what you paid for. The pay-once plan has nothing to cancel, and deleting your account cancels nothing.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds are the store's to give: Apple and Google take the payment, and we never see it. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google on Google Play's refund page.
Your data
I have a new phone. How do I bring everything?
Your wishes and lists are kept on our servers, not on the phone. Install Omriya, sign in the way you did before, and they are there. Plus comes back with Restore your purchase. Reminders live on the phone itself, so set them again.
Can I have a copy of my data?
Profile → Account → Export my data makes a file with everything the account holds, except who reserved your wishes. The privacy policy says what that is and who else handles it.
Deleting your account
Three taps, and it's gone.
Deleting happens in the app, straight away, and there's no undoing it.
- Open Profile, then Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete it to confirm.
No longer have the app? Write to support@omriya.app from the address you signed in with, or tell us that address, and we delete the account for you.
What goes
Every profile, wish, list, event, reservation, savings goal and photo. Every link you shared stops working.
What stays, and for how long
- Backups, for up to thirty days, then they expire.
- Crash reports, for ninety days.
- Usage records, which carry an account id that no longer points at anybody. Ask and we remove them.
- Your subscription, which belongs to the store. Cancel it there, or it keeps billing.
